Danny is the Chief Executive Officer of Cox & Palmer. His practice is primarily transactional, concentrating on corporate, commercial, energy, financing, securities, and public law. He is one of the region's leading corporate and commercial lawyers. Danny was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1976 and joined the Halifax office of what is now Cox & Palmer. He became a partner with the firm in 1982. He was admitted to the Bar of Prince Edward Island in 1996. 

Danny is currently involved in a number of organizations including as a director of Edleun Group, Inc., and Corporate Secretary of Brigus Gold Corp. He is a former director of the Bank of Canada, former Vice Chair of the Nova Scotia Securities Commission, former director of the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments, former Chair of the Halifax Industrial Commission, former director of the Greater Halifax Partnership, former member of the Accounting Standards Oversight Council, and former director of High Liner Foods Incorporated.
