Walter is a senior partner with Cox & Palmer practising from the Fredericton, New Brunswick office in the fields of Banking, Bankruptcy, Commercial, Corporate, Insolvency and Property Law. Employing a practical and solution oriented approach, he acts for a number of local, national and international corporations and financial institutions. Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Walter was admitted to the New Brunswick bar in 1974, having completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Saint Thomas University in 1971, his law degree at University of New Brunswick and his Masters degree in law at New York University. Walter is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of New Brunswick and the York-Sunbury Law Society, Atlantic Provinces Mediation Institute, INSOL International and is an Associate Member of the American Bar Association (Business, Health and LPM subsections). He has been a course leader of the Creditors Rights Bar Admission Course, NB Subsection Chair of the New Brunswick Bankruptcy and Insolvency and Law Practice Management sections of the Canadian Bar Association and regularly presents papers at Continuing Legal Education Seminars on a wide variety of subjects. Walter is a past director of the Fredericton Community Foundation Inc. and sits as an advisor to the Board of Partners For Youth Inc.
