Practice Areas

Rob is a partner in Cox & Palmer's Halifax office, practising in the field of income and commodity taxation. Rob articled and practised in Nova Scotia from 1989 until 1993 before moving to Toronto to pursue a commodity and income tax practice, first with a national accounting firm and subsequently with a mid-sized Toronto law firm. In 1996, Rob joined the Nova Scotia Department of Justice and was appointed Financial Counsel to the Province of Nova Scotia shortly thereafter. Rob is a regular participant and presenter at tax conferences and seminars and has written articles on a variety of income and commodity tax issues. He has also completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Income Tax Course. The publication The Best Lawyers in Canada has recognized Rob as a leading practitioner in Tax Law since 2008.
