Matthew is an associate practicing in our Fredericton office. He practices primarily in the areas of employment and labour law, administrative law, as well as commercial and insurance litigation. Matthew has appeared in the New Brunswick Court of Queen’s Bench, New Brunswick Provincial Court, as well as, before various arbitral tribunals on a variety of employment, labour, regulatory, civil and commercial litigation matters.

Matthew has extensive experience in employment, labour, and human rights law including:
- wrongful dismissal lawsuits;
- human rights complaints;
- occupational health and safety charges;
- workers’ compensation appeals;
- union certification applications;
- judicial review applications;
- private arbitrations;
- discipline for self-regulating bodies;
- employment insurance appeals;
- grievance arbitrations;
- drafting and reviewing contracts of employment;
- drafting and reviewing policies including:
- attendance management,
- social media,
- harassment,
- leave/vacation,
- drug/alcohol, and,
- employer handbooks;
- drafting and reviewing termination agreements; and,
- general proactive advice/seminars for a variety of employers in the union and non-union workplace.
