Cox & Palmer congratulates their partner, Christian E. Michaud, Q.C. on his recent appointment as Queen’s Counsel. The Queen’s Counsel designation is awarded each year to a select group of lawyers for their outstanding service, dedication and commitment to the legal profession in New Brunswick.
Christian leads the commercial litigation department within the Moncton office in the fields of bankruptcy and insolvency, debt recovery, construction law and in other fields such as public and constitutional law litigation. He has been a member of many boards, including the New Brunswick Liquor Corporation, a Crown Corporation, where he also served as Vice-President up until 2012 when he finished his mandate.
He has been involved in numerous associations for the Acadian and francophone community and in charitable and community based organizations. In the last few years, he has mostly worked with the Canadian Bar Association at the national level. Presently, Christian serves on the Board of Governors of the Université de Moncton.
This appointment acknowledges Christian’s hard work and outstanding contributions to the practice of Law in New Brunswick.
