Local entrepreneurs Kaitlin Smith and Evan Bursey took home The 6th Annual Cox & Palmer Innovation Challenge Award last night in St. John’s. Held in conjunction with Enactus Memorial, The Cox & Palmer Innovation Challenge is a Dragons’ Den style competition that offers student entrepreneurs the chance to pitch their business ideas and compete for a cash prize.
Smith impressed the judges with ‘Rustic Kitchens at Home’, a home-based food delivery business that specializes in home-cooked comfort food. For winning the challenge, Smith and Bursey receive $2,500 for start-up capital, complimentary legal services from Cox & Palmer, free office space in Enactus Memorial’s business incubation centre, and mentorship from Enactus Memorial’s business advisory board.
Congratulations Kaitlin and Evan!
