Halifax partner Terry Roane, Q.C., is one of 22 female lawyers from across Canada who received top honours at the inaugural Lexpert Zenith Awards in Toronto on October 15.
Terry is a leading practitioner in Labour & Employment law. She acts as counsel for a range of large and small businesses, public sector clients, unions, and individual complainants and plaintiffs throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. Her practice has been ranked by the publication The Best Lawyers in Canada since 2006. She has taught law, chaired various committees, authored countless papers, and served as faculty to several conferences focused on labour and employment issues. Terry was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1997.
The Zenith Awards were established this year to recognize a chosen group of senior women lawyers who have contributed significantly to the practice and business of law. Award recipients are also participating in a mentorship program whereby they will share their expertise with up and coming female lawyers.
