Our Halifax office is looking to add to our exceptional team and is seeking a Family Law Associate Lawyer to join our practice.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Service clients in a wide range of family law related matters, including cohabitation agreements and marriage contracts, and all matters arising from breakdown of marriages and common law relationships, such as parenting, child support, spousal support, division of matrimonial assets and claims to business assets.
  • Day-to-day advice on a variety of family law matters.
  • Developing appropriate family law strategies and preparing written and oral arguments.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Three + years of relevant work experience;
  • Courtroom experience and practical solution building skills;
  • Demonstrated excellent advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills;
  • Strong research and writing skills and demonstrated ability to navigate complex issues;
  • Proven effective client and practice management skills;
  • Self-motivated and can work independently but also values working collaboratively, and
  • Brings a compassionate approach to the practice of family law.
