John Barry, ONB, QC, Awarded the 2016 Order of New Brunswick

Cox & Palmer is pleased to announce that John Barry, ONB, QC, Counsel in our Saint John office, has been awarded the 2016 Order of New Brunswick. 

The Order of New Brunswick, the highest honour of the Province, is bestowed upon New Brunswickers who have demonstrated professional excellence in their chosen field and who have made significant efforts in the community, John was lauded for his leadership and dedication in the field of law, and for his significant volunteer work in the areas of healthcare, education and a number of charitable organizations over the last 50 years.

2016 Order of New Brunswick recipients

Named in honour of the late Frank Leger, counsel in the Saint John office of Cox & Palmer, this award is the highest honour granted by the New Brunswick Law Society.  The award recognizes outstanding service and dedication to the law society, contributions to the governance of the legal profession, and excellence in the practice of law.  


Deirdre’s career is highlighted by several accolades including the Distinguished Service Award from the Canadian Bar Association, New Brunswick Branch.  Recognized as a leading practitioner in the areas of insurance litigation, administrative and privacy law, this award further demonstrates Deirdre’s dedication and commitment to the legal profession.


Deirdre’s career has been characterized by integrity and adherence to the highest standards of our profession and we are very proud of her contributions and this accomplishment.
