Suzanne Rix Receives National Award Celebrating Women in Law

Cox & Palmer is pleased to announce that Suzanne Rix, a partner in their Halifax office, has been honoured with a Lexpert Zenith Award.

The 2017 Zenith Award was bestowed upon those nominees who have demonstrated excellence and action towards the advancement of women in the legal profession.

“Recognized as a leading practitioner in the areas of citizenship and immigration law, this award further demonstrates Suzanne’s dedication and commitment to the legal profession and the community,” says Danny Gallivan, CEO.

Suzanne is an executive member of the Canadian Bar Association National Immigration Law Section and Past Chair of the Citizenship and Immigration Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association (Nova Scotia). She also sits on the Grow and Nurture the Skilled Workforce task force of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce.

Suzanne also serves as the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany for the Maritime Provinces.

Named in honour of the late Frank Leger, counsel in the Saint John office of Cox & Palmer, this award is the highest honour granted by the New Brunswick Law Society.  The award recognizes outstanding service and dedication to the law society, contributions to the governance of the legal profession, and excellence in the practice of law.  

 

Deirdre’s career is highlighted by several accolades including the Distinguished Service Award from the Canadian Bar Association, New Brunswick Branch.  Recognized as a leading practitioner in the areas of insurance litigation, administrative and privacy law, this award further demonstrates Deirdre’s dedication and commitment to the legal profession.

 

Deirdre’s career has been characterized by integrity and adherence to the highest standards of our profession and we are very proud of her contributions and this accomplishment.
